People have given several reasons to justify why an individual should not get an MBA, or why an MBA might not just be the best option for you. We will discuss some of these reasons here.

Earning an MBA degree takes an average of two years if the individual is on a full-time basis. There are some instances though where it can take one year if the student decides not to break at any point. Interestingly, most of the knowledge obtained during these years of study can be obtained from free tutorials on the internet! Those two years and the resources used in studying the MBA could have been put to better use. If the individual had invested in business for instance, that business would have yielded significant returns at the end of two years. For this reason, it can be said that an MBA wastes an individual’s time and resources.
2. An MBA Puts An Individual Under A Debt Burden
Most people who wish to acquire an MBA always opt to secure a loan from a bank to finance their study. Upon completion of the program, the student is immediately under pressure to secure a job and commence repayment. If he or she is fortunate to secure a job on time, a significant part of his salary goes into this arrangement, and for a long time, he is burdened with debt repayment. For the entire period of repayment, the individual is unable to make any significant financial plan.
If the individual does not secure a job on time, he finds himself in a fix. Making progress becomes difficult because of the lingering debt.

Most MBA holders are fixated on working under paid employment. They don’t think about starting their own businesses and becoming their own employers.
